But first, an explanation

I love music, duh. It has been the driving force for most of my 24 years and it's importance in my life seems to be increasing daily. Unfortunely for a large portion of my life, my music tastes were not very diverse. I still have bad habits of listening to the same cd in my car for a month, and I'm constantly out of the loop on artists or songs that my peers know very much about.

I'm also a terrble writer. I never stick to the same tense, I change person, and I often talk the way I type, which is often hard to understand. I'd like to get better at these things.

So here be Madly Beckons (an anagram for my name sadly, I'm not too creative when it comes to names), a place to expand my music knowledge and to better my writing skills. The premise is this:

- Every two weeks I will search out someone to recommend me 5 albums.
- I will then go out, buy said albums, and take a listen.
- Over the next two weeks I'll publish reviews and thoughts on the music and probably more

So, yes. That's about it. Questions, comments are greatly appreciated, as are writing critiques! It's been awhile since I took an English class, so you're critisizim is encouraged. I have an artist in mind for the first installment of Madly Beckons - once they confirm I will get to a posting.
